WEAVING STUDIO
Artisan Hand Woven Loom Products
OUR COLLECTION
Welcome!
I hand weave all of the beautiful products found on this website on one of my rigid Heddle Looms, Vintage 4 Shaft Loom, Vintage 16 Shaft Loom or Peg Loom here at
High Hurst Farm in the Duddon Valley.
I use hand spun wool from our flock of Rare Breed sheep and not so rare breed sheep. I also use a blend of Alpaca, Mohair, Cashmere, Cotton, Linen, Acrylic, Silk, Bamboo or Woollen bought yarns.
There is something to suit any skin type, any occasion and lots of inspirational gift ideas.
I hope you enjoy looking through my collection.

A short note about our rare breed conservation work on our farm
The 100% wool rugs, scarves, lap blankets and shawls that you can buy on this site are hand made by me using our rare breed fleeces which our fibre flock of rare breed sheep very happily give us through shearing every year in the early summer.
The process of shearing is carried out to ensure the health and wellbeing of our flock. It is carried out in the early summer so there is plenty time for these incredible fleeces to grow again before winter to ensure our sheep stay lovely and warm even in the coldest of conditions.
All of our beautiful flock have been born and raised on our small farm where we put their health and welfare above everything else.
The proceeds from these handmade items are put straight back into our conservation work on our small farm where we work hard to promote and increase the dwindling numbers of our rare heritage breeds.
We have pedigree rare breed Berkshire pigs, Royal Golden Guernsey goats and Devon and Cornwall Longwool sheep.
Our small farm is CARBON NEGATIVE because we sequester more carbon from the atmosphere than we produce on our holding, a fact that we are very proud of.
